Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
Welcome to Binalong Public School, a close-knit rural community where every student is known, valued, and cared for. Since 1861, we have proudly nurtured the whole child, offering high-quality education to our small enrolment of 37 students across two multi-stage classes. Supported by dedicated staff and full-time School Learning Support Officers, we focus on each student’s academic, social, and emotional growth.
At Binalong, strong relationships and a safe, supportive environment ensure every child feels genuinely known and valued. We collaborate with families and local networks, including our local high schools, and our local small schools, to enrich educational pathways.
Our teaching uses evidence-based literacy and numeracy practices, tailored to individual needs. We provide extensive, individualised opportunities for our High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) students across arts, dance, drama, writing, STEM, sports, and other specialised areas.
Deeply connected to our community, students engage in creative, nature-based learning through our Bush School, vegetable garden, and chicken care, fostering curiosity and resilience. Our well-resourced, air-conditioned classrooms, large covered outdoor learning area, playground, and specialist Creative Arts program supported by our P&C contribute to a vibrant school life.
We warmly invite you to join the Binalong community, where our small size is our strength and every child’s potential is nurtured with care. Please contact us if you have any questions or would like more information.
