At Binalong Public School we use parent portal apps to make communication and admin easier for families. These tools help you:
- make payments quickly and securely
- view academic reports
- stay up to date with school events
- record absences.

Parent involvement
The school encourages all parents to be involved in the school. Parents are invited to assist with learning programs, sport, fundraising, some transport of children to and from different venues, working bees, etc.
Parents are invited to class information sessions and workshops throughout the year to help keep up to date with class and school events.
School / Home communication
If you, as a parent or caregiver, ever have any concern regarding an event at the school or need clarification on any matter, please do not hesitate in contacting the school. The best way to do this is by calling the office on 6227 4381 or by emailing binalong-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au.
The school also uses Sentral for Parents app to send parents messages as required, for student finance (eg excursion payments) and attendance. When your child is absent from school, please notify the school using the Sentral app. We also accept an email or phone call for absence notifications.
Every second week during school terms a newsletter is sent electronically to parents. Please read the information provided in the newsletter and enjoy the galleries of students enjoying school and events. Important term dates in the calendar are printed in the newsletter. This is also available to read on the Binalong Public School website.
The Annual Report is available on the school website. This covers a variety of areas of interest to parents.
P & C meetings are generally held once a month on the first Monday of the month during school terms. This is an opportunity to get information first-hand and participate in discussions and decisions that affect the schooling of your child.
Reports are provided at the end of Term 2 and 4.
School assemblies are held twice a term.
